There, he worked for MAD magazine and met René Goscinny , with whom he collaborated from 1955 until Goscinny's death in 1977. Lodewijk "Lo" Hartog van Banda was a Dutch comic writer. He won the Dutch Stripschapprijs , a prize awarded to comic writers and cartoonists for career achievements, in 1975.
