Naoko Takeuchi is the creator of manga-turned-cultural touchstone Sailor Moon. Since first appearing in the pages of Nakayoshi magazine in Japan in 1991, Sailor Moon has been collected and published worldwide, with anime, live-action, and stage adaptations that have similarly traveled to almost every continent.
